The Beach at Nags Head, North Carolina. . In the days before lighthouses, a horse with a lantern hanging from his head would warn mariners from the treacherous coast. Hence the name, Nag’s Head. This shot taken last fall with a Nikon D90 and a 10mm lens. More pictures of the North Carolina Coast are on my website. Click John Harding Art Prints in the right column then click on the gallery: North Carolina Coast. See you next time on most of this same site.

I have always wondered why they called it, Nags Head…Now I know….beautiful photo! I needed that!
